Thrilling Rides

Dollywood offers a highly diverse portfolio of rides, ensuring there is something exciting for every age and thrill level, all integrated into Appalachian-themed areas. The park features a strong collection of world-class roller coasters, including high-speed launch rides, unique steel designs, and classic wooden structures that interact beautifully with the mountainous terrain.

Wild Eagle

Wild Eagle is a thrilling steel Wing Coaster that was the first of its kind in the United States, giving riders a unique, exposed feeling as they are seated on either side of the track with nothing above or below. The ride ascends a chain lift to a height of 210 feet before plummeting to reach a top speed of 61 mph. Throughout its soaring journey high above the Smoky Mountains, riders are inverted a total of four times through a series of inversions including a vertical loop, a Zero-G roll, an Immelmann, and a corkscrew.

Big Bear Mountain

Big Bear Mountain is Dollywood's longest and newest family friendly coaster, taking riders on an expedition through Wildwood Grove in search of the legendary Big Bear. The coaster is considered a "family launch coaster" because it reaches a maximum height of 66 feet and a top speed of 48 mph. Its layout is unique for the park, featuring three separate LIM launches to propel riders along the track's almost 4,000 feet, all while enjoying on-board audio.

Mystery Mine

Mystery Mine is a heavily themed steel Euro-Fighter coaster that plunges riders into the dark, abandoned setting of an early 1900s mining operation with immersive dark ride scenes and two vertical lift hills. The coaster reaches a maximum height of 85.3 feet and a top speed of 43.5 mph before its dramatic finale. The climax involves a beyond-vertical, 95-degree drop followed immediately by two full inversions, a heartline roll and a dive loop, before returning to the station.
